June 2001

Hey Kids, it's June Swoon. Camp meeting is the big ticket. Prescott is beautiful and the kids are great. Havin' all my buds together in one place is a piece of heaven on Earth. Unfortunately, when school's out some people leave and you never see them again. Oh well, I'm getting used to that... Bobby McGhee, deal with it. No blame, no shame. Be a leader no excuses. Still TRYING to follow my own advice. Forgiveness is still a key though in my logic. Thanks everybody for pointing out where my logic is inaccurate. It keeps me on my toes. Oh, yeah, it's my Birthday June 8 - no gifts, no money, just send love sweet love. Somebody sang that somewhere. Free lunch for the answer. That's bob@bobmcghee.net.

Got some weddings to do (not mine). A few funerals, just don't know who they are, yet. Some baptisms and some dinner appointments. Who knows what order they'll come in. Somehow, I've got to get a new car. Keep your eyes open kids. There's got to be something with four wheels that runs out there ($200).

Here's some advice from the Pastor. Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so. I guess that means we should read the Bible so we can find out how much Jesus loves us. I'm erasing the last verse from my mind this year for it says, "Jesus loves me when I'm good, when I do the things I should, Jesus loves me when I'm bad, even though it makes Him sad." My question is, "When is He ever happy then?" I'm grateful that there was at least One good. The only unique and different person. If I really want to be unique and different, I then should follow Jesus, or else I'll just be like everyone else.

Kashmere is preparing for his new lion haircut. I'm preparing for new hair growth and a good year despite pain and agony that reaches us all. Props to all my homies in the hood especially my hero Mark Tamelea'a moving to Samoa with his family. I'll miss you, but you'll still have my AOL account that you hack into on a regular basis. At least I have one island guy with me - my real friend Johnny B. Good Manako. And to my friend Laurie Griffin, don't get eaten by a Kodiak Bear. Watch out for the Tongan Bear. Anyway, many others that I will mention in my daily newsletter. Lastly, but not leastly to my Homie Aaron G. Wood, thanks for your techno genius - even if you don't know what you're doing (I would never know). Stay off those sites I have to kick Johnny off of all the time. Get a girlfriend or play some of those 8-hour a day games that Ben George and Jarrod Branham play. And two more finallies. One to Tawny Guenat - thanks for trying to make me look better than I can and to Chris and Cesiah Morris - you're a credit to your human race. I'll see you at Pizza and Wings.

God bless all of you. Thanks, Mom for the Christ-like background - you rock - hope you find a husband soon. Bob Barnes is single - give him a call. He's local livin' la vida loca.

love ya,

Bobby
